Phyllis G. (Raab) Helsel

Phyllis G. Raab Helsel 83 of North Apollo passed Sunday June 12, 2016 at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. She was born February 28, 1933 in Madera, Pennsylvania the daughter of the late William and Theresa Mosley Raab. Before her retirement she was employed as a seamstress at Penn Needle Art in Spring Church. Phyllis is a member of the North Apollo Church of God. She enjoyed cooking, and will always be remembered as a selfless, loving person, who was always ready to care for, and help anyone. She looked forward her Friday trips to the hairdresser. She is survived by two sons; Edward R. Helsel Jr. of North Apollo, and Lee F. Helsel and his wife Michelle of Export, two grandchildren; Brian L. Helsel and his wife Kristy Marie of Leechburg, and Rachel L. Helsel of Export, two great- grandchildren and a brother, Robert “Moe” Raab and his wife Betty of Bedford. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Edward R. Helsel Sr., four brothers; Eugene, Merrill, Jack and William Raab, five sisters; Anna Durandetto, Evelyn Durandetto, June Eckberg, Mary Kennedy, Eleanor Martin,  and a sibling in infancy. Family will receive friends on Tuesday June 14, 2016 from 2:00-4:00 P.M. and 6:00 P.M. until time of services at 8:00 P.M In the Kelly L. Corridoni Funeral Home Ltd. 1916 Moore Ave. North Apollo, Pa. Services will be conducted in the funeral home at 8:00 P.M. with Pastor Robert Shallenberger officiating. Interment will be held in Riverview Cemetery, Apollo.
