What an inspiration Gail E. was to so many in the horse world in Western PA! We enjoyed competing in the same Judged Trail Rides as Gail, and appreciated his humble spirit and his respectfulness toward everyone he met. What an honor it was to introduce Gail to one of our 4-H kids at the last JTR he attended and to meet his grandson riding his amazing horse Cutter Bay! It was an even greater honor for both Dave and me to win the Gail E Hayward Sportsmanship Award and remember how God had blessed Gail E with his talents with both horses and people. Prayers for God's blessings and comfort to Gail A and the entire family.

So sorry to hear of Gail's passing. He will always be remembered by countless 4-H members, leaders, and horse enthusiasts. His contribution to the horse industry will never be lost to those whose lives he touched. Ride off Gail, we will all miss you.
