Christine Marie (Dilick) Hughes

Christine Marie Dilick Hughes 83 of Spring Church passed away Wednesday December 27, 2017 at Excela Health Latrobe Hospital.  She was born Wednesday June 20, 1934 the daughter of the late Guy E. and Susan V. O’Masta Dilick. Christine was employed by Kaylor Manufacturing in New Kensington as a seamstress. She was a member of Saint Ambrose Roman Catholic Church in Avonmore. She loved spontaneous road trips with her husband, trips to the beach with her nieces and nephews, Atlantic City trips with her daughter, garage sales, and playing with her dog peppay. She will always be remembered for her famous raspberry patch in her yard, and for all of the sewing she did for her entire family. She is survived by her husband of over 50 years, George William Hughes, a daughter, Susan Leigh Montali and her husband Roger of Shady Plain, seven siblings; Edward Dilick and his wife Patricia of Spring Church, Agnes Dilick of Shady Plain, Susan George also of Shady Plain, Stephen Dilick and his wife Mary Lou of Avonmore, Florence Brank her husband Dominick, Samuel Dilick and his wife Linda, and Mary Dilick all of Shady Plain, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers; Ernest, Gerald, and Rudolph Dilick, and two sisters; Theresa in Infancy and  Melaine Porter.  Family will receive friends on Friday December 29, 2017 from 3:00-6:00 P.M. in the Kelly L. Corridoni Funeral Home Ltd. 400 Indiana Ave. Avonmore, Pa.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday December 30th at 10:00 A.M. at St. Ambrose Catholic Church. Interment will follow in St. Gertrude’s Church Cemetery, Vandergrift, Pa.
