William Harold (“Wild Bill from Oak Hill”) Slicker 83 of Apollo passed away on Friday,September 24, 2021 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on July 31, 1938 in Kiski Twp., the son of the late Harold W. and Muriel A. Hill Slicker. Bill was a member of the Apollo United Presbyterian Church, the Kiski Twp. Sportsmen’s Club, and the Ridgeway American Legion. He was first employed by Wean United as a Molder, and later retired from PPG in Springdale. Bill spent his leisure time hunting and fishing, loved to spend time at the family camp, “At Camp” in Ridgeway, and enjoyed watching the Steelers and NASCAR. He cherished time spent with family, following his grandchildren’s sports careers, and he especially loved traveling with the love of his life, his wife Linda, after they both retired. He is survived by his wife of sixty-one years, Linda Spagnolo Slicker, four children; Kimberly L. Stankus of Apollo, Lori A. Corsi and her husband Michael of Apollo, William “Mark” Slicker and his wife Lisa of Saltsburg and Lisa M. Zelonka and her husband Patrick of Apollo, six grandchildren; Shawn E. Stankus of East Vandergrift, Joshua W. Artman and his wife Brenda of Apollo, Jacob D. Slicker of Saltsburg, Dylan P. Zelonka of Apollo, Sarah M. Peace of Apollo and Michael Corsi of Michigan, four great grandchildren; Sawyer J. Artman, and Xavier, Emma and Addison Means, and a sister, Christine Venus of New Kensington. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his step-mother, Josephine Marangoni Slicker, and a brother-in-law, John Venus. Family will receive friends on Monday September 27, 2021 from 4:00 P.M. until time of services at 7:00 P.M. in the Kelly L. Corridoni Funeral Home Ltd. 1916 Moore Avenue North Apollo, Pa. Service will be held in the funeral home at 7:00 P.M. with Pastor Lea Austin officiating. Interment will be held on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at Riverview Cemetery in Apollo.
