William David McLaughlin

William David McLaughlin, 83, of Apollo, Pa. (Kiski Twp.), passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at Allegheny Valley Hospital in Natrona Heights, Pa. He was born on Friday, January 26, 1940 in Pittsburgh, Pa., the son of the late Samuel S. and Beulah E. Snyder McLaughlin. Before his retirements, he worked for Akers National Roll in Avonmore, Pa. and later for Crystal Waters. He was a member of the Avonmore Moose Loom #37. He enjoyed playing golf, bowling and poker.  He umpired for the Little League and also coached baseball in Avonmore and Vandergrift. He is survived by his children; Cathy Held of Roanoke, Va., Tom McLaughlin and his wife, Stacey of Roanoke, Va., Mark McLaughlin of Bel Air, MD. And Cindy McLaughlin of Roanoke, Va.,5 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren,  his brother; Richard McLaughlin of Knoxville, Tn. and his partner of 39 years; Helen Altman.   He was preceded in death by his parents. All funeral  arrangements are private and interment will take place at Greenwood Memorial Park.
