Wendi Juricks Obituary

OBITUARY
Ms. Wendi K. Juricks (Parker), was called by God home to eternal rest after a brief illness on November 3,2020, during the early morning hours at Sharon Regional Medical Center Hospital, Sharon Pa. She was 68 years old. Wendi was born in Sharon, Pa. onMay 2.1952 to the late Mr. Albert Luther Juricks and her mother, the late Mrs. Bertha M. (Cromartie,Wiley) Juricks. She was also the sister of the late Glenn H. Wiley. Wendi who many called (Pooh or Kirk) is survived by one brother, Mr. Lester R.Wiley of California and sister-in-law Lolita (Wiley) Dykes of Massachusetts. She leaves to cherish her love and memory a host of nieces, nephews, a special niece (Aunya Jones), and many godchildren, who she mothered, loved and helped to raise. Wendi had many close friends throughout her life and some friends that were more like her sisters than friend. They are Ms. Rhoda Williamson of New York,
Mrs. Jennifer Ellis, Ms. Donna Smith, Ms. Sandra Campbell, Patricia (Bruce)Wood and Mrs. Barbara Shavers. Wendi was a graduate of the class of 1970 Sharon High School, in Sharon Pa. After graduation, she attended Robert Morris University in Pittsburgh Pa. She was later employed by the Sharon Herald newspaper in Sharon PA, and then worked for many years at the Social Security Administration Office in Sharon/ Hermitage Pa. until her retirement. During her later years, she worked at the New Life Covenant Church, Sharon Pa. as an administrative assistant/ secretary. Wendi loved to travel, and her first car was a 1971 baby blue Volkswagen Beetle. She played the organ, loved playing Spades, and was skilled in catering. Wendi loved participating in bowling leagues and going to casinos. Wendi was also a diehard and the biggest Cleveland Browns fan. Wendi loved all people, having fun
and making others laugh. Wendi received Christ as her Savior as a young woman when she attended New Hope Baptist Church in Farrell, PA. During her later years, she transferred her membership to New Life Covenant Church, Sharon Pa. where her childhood friend/sister, Apostle Rev. Patricia Tatum (Barnett) became her Pastor. Wendi was committed to her Savior Jesus Christ. She continued to grow in Him, while attending bible study and worship service. At her church she worked with the kitchen helpers, Usher Ministry, and Grief Support Ministry. Wendi made a positive impression on everyone she had the opportunity to meet. The family and  her friends will have a memorial service to celebrate her life in spring 2021 due to
the COVID-19 crisis and concerns. In lieu of floral tributes donations can be made in her name to the Lupus Foundation of America.
