Thomas Jay Bittinger

Thomas Jay Bittinger, 77, of Apollo, Pa., passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at UPMC East in Monroeville, Pa.  He was born on Sunday, September 17, 1944 in Tarentum, Pa. the son of the late James and Mary Lois George Bittinger. Before his retirement, he was the owner/operator of Tom’s Auto Service in Apollo for 31 years. He was a member of the Vandergrift Sportsman Club and enjoyed riding motorcycles. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Janet F. Larimer Bittinger, his children; Mark Bittinger and his wife, Shelia, of Apollo and Terri Rupp and her husband, Greg, of Allegheny Twp., 2 grandchildren; Callen Rupp and Shannon Bittinger and a great grandchild; Colby Rupp- Ochs and his brother; Lynn Bittinger and his wife, Barbara, of Estow, Oh. A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, March 27, 2022 at 1:30PM at the North Apollo Church of God, 507 20th Street, North Apollo, Pa. Casual dress is suggested.
