Tammyra Sue Cress (Tammy), born in Morgantown WV November 13, 1963 passed away peacefully at UPMC Presbyterian hospital in Pittsburgh Pa on October 1, 2024 with her family by her side. Tammy resided in Lemont Furnace Pa and is survived by her mother Hazel J. Jacobs (Cress) of Carmichaels Pa, 2 sisters Patricia (Bob) Rowe of Lemont Furnace Pa and Diana (Phillip) Deems of Crucible Pa , a brother Franklin R. Coger Jr of Masontown Pa, her uncles, Earl Cress of Granville WV ,Harry (Wilda Jean) Cogar, several nieces, nephews and her faithful companion of 14 years, her cat Blessing. She is preceded in death by her father Franklin R. Coger Sr. , her Aunt Grace Sanders whom she loved as a second mother, her maternal grandparents , her paternal grandparents & several Aunts, Uncles and cousins. Tammy lived most of her life in Bruceton Mills WV where she dedicated her life to Jesus and was active in her Church and women's club ministries. She volunteered for mission work at the prison in Preston County and collected food and water for different community needs. She loved nature and all animals but was very partial to cats. Tammy worked as a home health aide for many years and also cleaned part time for various businesses in the Bruceton Mills Area. So with a heartfelt farewell, we honor the life of Tammy, whose selfless spirit continues to inspire us even after her passing. Known for her kindness and compassion, Tammy was able to donate her organs, ensuring that her legacy of generosity lives on through the lives her organs will help save. As we remember Tammy, we celebrate her enduring impact and the gift of life she has given to those in need. We will forever love and miss our beloved Tammy. A memorial service will be held at 2pm Saturday, November 2, 2024 at The Church of Christ 1863 Jefferson Rd., Riceslanding, Pa.
