Sylvia Ann (Centra) Machulsky

Sylvia Ann Centra Machulsky, 95, of Avonmore, Pa. passed away on Thursday, August 1, 2024 at Excela Latrobe Hospital in Latrobe, Pa. She was born on Tuesday, September 11, 1928, in Vandergrift, Pa the daughter of the late Luigi and Joanna Eramo Centra. She worked for Federal Laboratories in the tear gas division for over 10 years. She enjoyed doing Search & Find Puzzles, loved watching game shows on television, polkas, cats and dogs and was known for her big heart and her willingness to help others. She is survived by her son, Raymond Machulsky and his wife, Donna of Tinsmill. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Stanley Machulsky and her sisters,  Jacinta Veneziani, Josephine Sciotti and Louise Centra. A heartfelt thank you goes to Judy, Abby, Jackie, Dee, Samantha, Jessica, Joan and Rochelle for their excellent care. A private Parting Prayer Service will be held in the funeral home with Father Mark Dunmire, officiating.
