Shawn Bradley Shaffer

Shawn Bradley Shaffer, 54, of Apollo, Pa., passed away on Friday, April 17, 2020 at UPMC East in Monroeville, Pa.  He was born on Friday, July 16, 1965 in Indiana, Pa, the son of Edward Shaffer and the late Loretta Prenni Shaffer. Before his retirement, he was self-employed in the Construction Business.He enjoyed reading, hunting with a crossbow, going on vacations, helping  people and he enjoyed spending time with his  dogs and his lizard. Shawn was a fantastic cook.  His greatest joy was the time he spent with his family and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Gwen Michelle Hollenbush Shaffer, his children, Tim Shaffer and his wife, Jenna, of Apollo, Tony Shaffer of Ford City, Tommy Shaffer of Leechburg, Samantha Layton of Harrisville, and Brittany Fusillo and her husband, Todd, of Apollo, 2 grandchildren, Evan Thomas Shaffer and Callie Grace Conti, his brothers, Eric Shaffer and his wife, Nadine, of Avonmore, Lance Shaffer and his wife, Bernadette, of  Paulton and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Edward and Brett Shaffer and a sister, Valerie Leda. Due to public health concerns and our concerns for our families, all funeral arrangements were private.
