Sandra Louise Rae Harr, 66, of Washington Twp., formerly of Saltsburg, passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family after an 18 year courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease. She was born on Friday, February 4, 1955 in Springdale, Pa., the daughter of Margaret “Peggy” Grace Phillips Rae of Spring Church, Pa. and the late Robert Alexander Rae. She was a home health care nurse for UPMC. She was a member of the North Apollo Church of God. She enjoyed baking, singing, antiquing, crafting and socializing. She was the head of the Parkinson’s group which met at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Greensburg and for many years, she was in charge of their newsletter. She will always be remembered for her strength and determination. She was a loving mother, grandmother and devoted wife. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Thomas Alan Harr, her children, Jordan Harr and his wife, Melissa, of Conemaugh Twp., Afton Maruschock and her husband, Randy, of Greensburg, her grandchildren, Wyatt and Hazel Harr and Miles Maruschock, her mother, Peggy Rae, a brother, Robert Rae and his wife, Connie, of York, Pa., and her sisters, Sharon Davis and her husband, Craig, of North Apollo, and Shannon Holt and her husband, Cameron, of Leechburg and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her sister, Suzanne Rae Gutierrez. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 from 10:00 AM until time of services at Noon at the North Apollo Church of God, 507 20th Street, North Apollo, Pa. Services will be conducted at Noon with Pastor Robert Shallenberger and Pastor Linda Stewart co-officiating. Interment will follow at Twin Valley Memorial Park in Delmont, Pa. In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations to be made to The Parkinson Foundation Western Pennsylvania, 575 Lincoln Ave., Suite 101, Bellevue, Pa. 15202 in Sandy’s memory.
