Roy Anthony Couslin, 84, of Parks Twp., passed away on Monday, July 12, 2021 at Allegheny Valley Hospital in Natrona Heights, Pa. He was born on Friday, August 21, 1936 in East Vandergrift, Pa. and then moved to North Vandergrift and later to his family’s farm in Parks Twp. He was born to the late Joseph and Anna Kaleda Couslin. He was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Church in East Vandergrift and the Lithuanian Club. He graduated from Vandergrift High School in 1954, and then served in the Navy from 1954 to 1958. He attended Forbes Tech School. He was employed by Wean United Foundry and Kiski Area School District, retiring in 1998. He owned and operated Couslin’s Greenhouse for 40 years. He enjoyed spending time with family, gardening, planting trees, shopping and caring for his chickens and dogs; especially his current dog Bear. He also enjoyed wood working and odd jobs. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Evelyn Stefanik Couslin, his sons, Joseph (Spring), Brian and Scott and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Joseph Jr., John, Norbert, Tommy and James and his sisters, Amelia “Emma” Kuruc and Stella “Anna” Gaydeski. A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, July 16, 2021 at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church at 11:00 AM with Father Vincent Zidek, as celebrant.
