Roger Dean Bestwick

Roger Dean Bestwick, 59, of Gibsonia, Pa., passed away on Friday, July 7, 2023 at North Hills Passavant Hospital in McCandless, Pa. He was born on Thursday, February 20, 1964 in McCandless Twp., Pa. the son of Benjamin J. and Mildred S. Crawford Bestwick.  He was self-employed and ran a carpet cleaning business. He enjoyed going to his camp in Somerset, watching baseball, fishing especially ice fishing and boating. Roger was the Activities Director for the family making sure everyone was kept busy at all times. He had a great sense of humor and was the life of the party, but most of all he loved his family dearly, was kind hearted and very giving and adored his 4 grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Joyce Kay Braund Bestwick of Gibsonia, his children; Rachel K. Gartrell and her husband, Christopher, of Gibsonia and Carolynn L. Bestwick and her fiancé, Christopher Williams of Millvale, his 4 grandchildren; Christopher Lee Williams, Elijah Dean Williams, Finley James Gartrell and Luca Gene Williams, his sisters; Dolly Caughey of Zelienople, Sheri Polivka and her husband, George, of New Castle and Debbie Wisener and her husband, Bob, of Erie and his brother; Ben Bestwick and his wife, Jeanne, of Cranberry. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Chad B. Bestwick. A celebration of Roger’s life will be held on Friday, July 14, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Richland Volunteer Firehall on Meridan Road in Gibsonia, Pa.
