Robert Lee Lewis, 70, of Saltsburg (Conemaugh Township) passed away Friday, April 1, 2022, at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA. He was born on Saturday, December 29, 1951, in Cameron, WV, (Marshall County) the son of the late Robert Edwin and Myrtle Riggs Lewis-Brown. Robert was a United States Army Veteran having served in the Viet Nam War. Before his retirement, Bob was employed by Viller's Seafood as a shrimp boat captain, working out of Brownsville, Texas and Fort Myers, Florida, most recently, Bob worked at the Saltsburg Shop and Save. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, loved the outdoors, old westerns; (Gunsmoke and The Virginian), quad riding, campfires, and his time spent at Blacklegs, Tionesta, Potter County, Kettle Creek, and Elk Creek. Robert was a proud “West Virginian through and through”. He will always be remembered for his deep faith in God He is survived by five siblings, David Lewis of Monroeville, Mary Drummond of Monroeville, Loretta Lewis of Saltsburg, Thomas Brown of Saltsburg, and Curtis Brown of Clarksburg, numerous nieces and nephews which he adored, in addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Levada Lewis. Family will receive friends on Monday, April 4, 2022 in the Kelly L. Corridoni Funeral Home LTD, 400 Indiana Avenue, Avonmore, PA from 5:00 PM until time of services at 8:00 PM. Services will be conducted at 8:00 PM in the funeral home with Pastor Lee Rupert officiating. Family suggests memorial contributions be made in Bob’s memory to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105 or the Wounded Warrior Project, 301 Gant Street Pittsburgh, PA 15219.
