Robert Edwin Cunningham

Robert Edwin Cunningham, 83, of Jeannette, Pa. passed away on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at Mountain View Senior Care, Greensburg, Pa. He was born on Monday, July 28, 1941, in Avonmore, Pa., the son of the late John and Pearl Tressler Cunningham.  Before his retirement, he was a police officer in suburban Chicago for 27 years then finish his career as a parole agent with the Commonwealth of Pa. Robert was a proud member of AFSCME union. He enjoyed camping, traveling and gas-powered model airplanes. He is survived by his wife of 60 years Miriam Houk Cunningham of Jeannette, his children; Kelly Cunningham (Donna Johns) of Greensburg, Ryan Cunningham and his wife Kalyn of North Huntingdon and John Cunningham and his wife Maria of Albuquerque, NM. and 2 grandchildren; Tyer Cunningham of Squirrel Hill and Reece Cunningham of Albuquerque, NM. Private graveside services will be conducted at Westview Cemetery in Avonmore with Father Mark Dunmire officiating.
