Robert Blair Carney

Robert Blair Carney, 85, of Vandergrift, Pa. passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on Friday, June 10, 1938 in Vandergrift, Pa. the son of the late Robert M. and Ruth E. Kunkle Carney. He was a United States Marine Veteran from 1956-1959. Before his retirement, he was an installer/repairman communication technician for GTE. He enjoyed making candles and owned and operated with his wife, Pappy’s Candles in Vandergrift, like to do woodworking and listening to Country Western Music. Most of all he loved his family. He is survived by his wife; Emily Joyce Townsend Carney of Vandergrift, his children; Robert L Carney and his wife, Julie of Chandler, AZ, Keith L. Carney and his wife, Kim of Newport and Pamela F. Carney and her husband, Kevin of Leechburg and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, David A. Carney and his brother, Ron Carney. All funeral arrangements were private.
