Richard "Dickie" Olex

Richard Olex, 76, of Greensburg, formerly of Tinsmill, passed away Saturday, November 18, 2023, at Twin Lakes Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.  He was born, Sunday, July 20, 1947, in Tinsmill the son of the late Mary Olex.  Dickie enjoyed woodworking, gardening and helping out at Calandrella’s Garage.  He was a member of the St. Ambrose Roman Catholic Church in Avonmore.  He is survived by his Aunt Dolores “Dory” Olex of Avonmore and cousins Sherri Tubik of Springfield, Virginia and Karen Oliva of Smithtown, New York.  In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his Uncle Edward Olex and Aunt Helen Ricca.  Family will receive friends on Sunday, November 19. 2023, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Corridoni Funeral Services, 400 Indiana Avenue, Avonmore, PA.  A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 20, 2023, at 11:00 AM at St. Ambrose Church.  Father John Harrold officiating.  Interment will follow at Westview Cemetery, in Avonmore.
