Raymond Alton Myers

Raymond Alton Myers, 81, of Salina passed away Thursday, March 10, 2022, at West Haven Quality Life Services in Apollo.  Raymond was born Thursday, March 28, 1940, in Parks Township, PA, the son of the late Harry Alton and Ida Meyers Myers.  Raymond was an avid hunter, enjoyed fishing, tinkering at home, and gardening.  He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather.  Before his retirement he was a mechanical electrician with Canterbury Coal Company.  Ray was a 1959 graduate of Bell Avon High School.  He was a United States Army Veteran having served with the 101st Airborne Division.  He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Patricia Shirley Myers, two sons: Raymond A. Myers, Jr and his wife, Kathy, of North Apollo, and Richard Howard Myers of Salina, a brother, Jim Myers and his wife, Ann, of Salina, a sister, Phyllis White, and her husband, Ronald, of Saltsburg.  Two grandchildren, Emily Porter and her husband, Glenn, of Wexford and Ricki Marie Myers of Saltsburg.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Harry “Bud” Myers, Jr., Ed Myers and Walter Myers, 2 sisters, Sarah Shearer and Hazel Grantz.    All viewing and services will be private.  Pastor Lee Rupert will officiate.
