Ralph Kenneth Maskrey

Ralph Kenneth Maskrey 91 of Apollo passed away on Friday July 2, 2021 at Good Samaritan Hospice in Cabot. He was born on Sunday May 18, 1930 in Blairsville, PA. the son of the late Kenneth T. and Grace McGaughey Maskrey. Before his retirement Ralph was employed by Peoples Natural Gas Company for thirty –two years as a right of way surveyor. He was a Corporal in the United States Army Military Police, and was stationed in Hawaii from 1952 until 1954. Ralph was a member of the Forks Zion Lutheran Church in Gilpin Twp. He loved puzzles, and time spent with his family especially his grandchildren and great- grandchildren. He will always be remembered for being a devoted husband to his wife of 66 years, Betty Jane Hoover Maskrey, whom he married November 23, 1951. It was frequently said, “She was his whole life”. He is survived by his son, Greg Maskrey and his wife Deb of Gilbertsville, Pa., his daughter, Pam Eckman and her husband Kevin (Sr.) of North Apollo, three grandchildren; Kevin Eckman Jr. and his wife Anna Marie of Apollo, Brad Eckman and his wife Sara of Kittanning, and Christopher Maskrey and his wife Kelly of Limerick, Pa. and three great-grandchildren; Savannah, Olivia, and Jackson. In addition to his parents he was proceeded in death by his wife, and his brother David Maskrey. Family will receive friends on Wednesday July 7, 2021 from 11:00 A.M. Until time of Services at 1:00 P.M. in the Kelly L. Corridoni Funeral Home Ltd. 1916 Moore Ave. North Apollo, Pa. Services will be conducted at the funeral home at 1:00 P.M. Entombment will follow at Greenwood Memorial Park in Lower Burrell, Pa.
