Patricia Louise (Rimel) Lauffer

Patricia Louise Rimel Lauffer, 86, of Osceola Mills, Pa., formerly of Vandergrift, Pa., passed away on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at Butler Memorial Hospital in Butler, Pa. She was born on Wednesday, April 3, 1935 in Gilpin Twp., Pa., the daughter of the late Robert A. and Grace Stumbaugh Rimel. She was an avid bingo player and enjoyed playing cards but she truly loved going to dances at the Grange with her husband when he would play the fiddle and showing their vintage cars, especially the 1955 Red Thunderbird which won many trophies. Patricia is survived by her brother, Robert W. Rimel and his wife, Sandra, of Apollo, her nieces, Diane M. Cochran and her husband, Thomas, Stacy Rimel of Vandergrift and Denise Kostelansky and her husband, Tom, of Vandergrift, her nephews, Timothy Rimel of Florida, Darrin Rimel of Florida and Mark Lauffer and his wife, Karen, of South Carolina, her best friend, Audrey Hileman of Cabot and many great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Roy Lauffer in 2017, her son, Lance Roy Lauffer, her brothers, Philip L. Rimel and Eugene “Skip” Smith and her nephews, Nathan J. and William J. Rimel. A private entombment will be held on Thursday, April 29. 2021 at Greenwood Memorial Park in Lower Burrell, Pa.
