Nicholas John Battistelli

Nicholas “Nick” John Battistelli, 75, of Leechburg, PA passed on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital, in Kittanning.  He was born Tuesday, April 27, 1948, in Pine Run (Allegheny Township), the son of the late Rudolph “Todd” and Helen Elizabeth Klazon Battistelli.  Before his retirement, he was employed by Allegheny Township for over 37 years as a truck driver.  He was a United States Army Veteran having served in Viet Nam.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, socializing, listening to polkas, enjoyed time spent with his dog, “he loved life…and lived it”!  He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Peggy Joann Smail Battistelli, his daughters, Dana Weimer and her husband, Raub, of Nowrytown, Nichole Pavlik and her husband, David, of Leechburg, Angela Battistelli (Ryan Blanciak) of Leechburg, Nicole Kacan of Apollo, Renae Barr of Apollo, Samantha Aresto and her husband, Tom, of Apollo and Rebecca Hepler (Arthur Blystone) of Parks Township.  16 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; and his sister, Brenda Linkus, of Leechburg, he is also survived by a special companion, his nephew, Rudy Battistelli and his wife, Shawn, of Nowrytown and numerous nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kasee, a great grandson, Chance, and two brothers, Rudolph “Buster, Battistelli and Larry Battistelli.  At Nick’s request, all services will be private.
