Michael “Mitch” Orvosh Jr., 83, of Avonmore, Pa. passed away on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at Forbes Hospital in Monroeville, Pa. He was born on Thursday, January 1, 1942, in Avonmore the son of the late Michael “Spike” Sr. and Verda Day Orvosh. He was a United States Army Veteran who was stationed in Schwetzingen, Germany. Before his retirement, he worked for National Roll as a molder for 14 years and worked at Pearl Vision making glasses. He loved gardening, woodworking, hunting and fishing. He was a Steeler and Pirates fan, played baseball and softball and liked late model dirt track racing but most of all he loved his family. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Gerlinde Anna Roesch Orvosh of Avonmore, his daughter, Evelyn Andritz and her husband Neill of Avonmore, his brothers, Ronnie Orvosh and his wife, Alice of Avonmore and Larry Orvosh of Homer City and his nephews. Family will receive friends on Monday, June 16, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:30 PM at Corridoni Funeral Services, Inc., 400 Indiana Ave., Avonmore, Pa. 15618. A Parting Prayer Service will be held in the funeral home at 7:30 PM, Father Salvatore Lamendola, officiating. Interment will take place at Westview Cemetery, Avonmore, Pa.
