Matthew Mason Boxler, 30, of Saltsburg, Pa., passed away on Monday, November 29, 2021 in Pittsburgh, Pa., after a long and difficult struggle with addiction. He was born on Thursday, September 5, 1991 in Saltsburg, Pa., the son of Brian N. and Jennifer L. Boxler Livengood. He was most recently employed as a laborer in the printing industry. He loved to cook, fish, socialize, being around people, video games and animals. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister; Megan Livengood of Vandergrift, his children; Liahna Shannon, Kayson Shannon and Delilah Rumbaugh, his maternal grandmother; Margaret “Peg” Singer Boxler of Saltsburg, his paternal grandparents; Mike and Mary Clawson Altman of Brownstown and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers; David Boxler and Ed Libengood. The family wishes to express their concern and empathy for those also struggling with addiction and encourage those individuals to seek help at any expense. All services are private.
