Mary Lou (Shoupe) Barker

Mary Lou Shoupe Barker, 94, of Avonmore, Pa., formerly of Salina passed away on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at UPMC East in Monroeville, Pa.  She was born on Saturday, March 24, 1928 in Salina, Pa., the daughter of the late William Clarence and Margaret Fennel Shoupe. She enjoyed dancing, especially dancing the Polka, listening to all kinds of music and traveling. She liked to keep herself busy and knew what she liked and didn’t like.  Mary Lou lived life to the fullest. The time she spent with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren was endearing to her. She is survived by her children; William W. Barker and his wife, Judith, of Salina, Cindy Townsend and her husband, Al, of Parks Twp. and Kim Condor and her husband, Bob, of Salina, 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and her sisters; Sandra Doverspike and her husband, Boyd, of Bell Twp., Karen Mays and her husband, Terry, of Greensburg and Linda Speedy of Avonmore. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald W. Barker, her brothers; Robert “Bob” Shoupe, Richard “Dick” Shoupe and Dennis “Butch” Shoupe , her sisters; Vera Smith and Thelma Valore , and her long time companion, of over 20 years, John Negrich.. Family will receive friends on Sunday, December 4, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the Kelly L. Corridoni Funeral Home LTD, 400 Indiana Ave., Avonmore, Pa. Funeral Services will be held in the funeral home on Monday, December 5, 2022 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Lee Rupert, officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery, Avonmore.
