Mary Elizabeth (Duncan) Anderson

Mary Elizabeth Duncan Anderson, 65, of Avonmore, Pa. passed away on Monday, February 9, 2026, at UPMC East, Monroeville, Pa. She was born on Thursday, April 7, 1960, in Deckers Point, Pa., the daughter of the late Boyd Duncan and Claribel L. Pardee Buterbaugh. Before her retirement, she was the Administrative Director of Quality Life Services, formerly known as West Haven in Apollo, Pa., for 28 years. Mary was a very active member of the Saltsburg Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed sewing, baking and collecting snowmen and lighthouses. Her greatest joy was the time she spent with her grandchildren. She is survived by her 2 daughters, Beth Ann Anderson (Steve Hawk) of Pittsburgh, Pa. and Crystal Fricke and her husband, Adam of Pittsburgh, Pa., her 2 grandchildren, Brayden and Leah Fricke, her brothers, Robert Peiffer and his wife Gwen of Indiana, Roger Peiffer of Indiana and her sisters, Cindy Brown (Howie Shaffer) of Rossiter, Pa. and Sylvia Mears and her husband, James of Home, Pa. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald E. Anderson Jr. and her stepfather, Leroy Buterbaugh. Family will receive friends on Thursday, February 12, 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Corridoni Funeral Services, Inc., 400 Indiana Ave., Avonmore, Pa. Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday, February 13, 2026 in the funeral home at 11:00 AM with Reverend Dan Satler, officiating. Interment will take place at Westview Cemetery, Avonmore, Pa.
