Mark Anthony Harley Jr., 87, of Oakmont, Pa. passed away on Thursday, December 28, 2023, at Canterbury Place in Pittsburgh, Pa. He was born on Monday, November 23, 1936, in North Apollo, Pa., the son of the late Mark A. Sr. and Audrey Cricks Harley. He was a United States Navy Veteran. Before his retirement, he was a Chemist for PPG Industries in Allison Park, Pa. He attended the Methodist Church in Oakmont and was an adult leader for the Boy Scouts and achieved the honor of the Order of the Arrow. He enjoyed working on cars, restoring homes, was a jack of all trades capable of doing electrical, plumbing, and plastering work and when he was a teenager, he enjoyed skating at VAL arena in North Apollo, Pa. Mark also enjoyed camping and spending time at his cottage in Crawford County. He is survived by his children, Beth Ann Harley of Hampton Twp. and Mark F. Harley and his wife, Katie of Oakmont, and 2 grandchildren: Gabriella and Hannah and his brother, Richard Harley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Ruth Willey Harley, his brothers, David H. Harley, Leonard Harley and Thomas Harley and his sisters, Patricia Knabb and Eva Marie “Sis” McCartney. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
