Linda Gail Marshall Murphy, 77, of Saltsburg (Loyalhanna Township), went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at Transitions Skilled Nursing Facility, North Huntingdon, PA. She was born Thursday, November 28, 1946, in Saltsburg, the daughter of the late William Robert and Margaret Jane Linsenbigler Marshall. Before her retirement, she owned and operated Marshall’s Market for over 25 years with her husband, Dave. She loved people and was happiest when she was socializing, enjoyed cooking, and baking her famous Texas sheet cake. She was a member of the Saltsburg Baptist Church, where she was very active and proudly served the Lord. She also taught Bible School. Linda served on the Loyalhanna Township Election Board for over 50 years. She is survived by her daughter, Kim Rubino and her husband, Paul of New Alexandria, her grandchildren, Brian Pizer of Orlando, Florida and Briana Eckert and her husband, Kevin of Lititz, PA; her great grandchildren Kaleb and Kinsley Eckert, her sister, Terry King of Homer City, her brother, Dennis Paul “Ike” Marshall of Saltsburg and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Wilson Murphy in 1988, a sister, Patty Kelly and her brothers, Barry and Larry Marshall. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 7:30 PM at Corridoni Funeral Services, 400 Indiana Avenue, Avonmore, PA 15618. Services will follow in the Funeral Home at 7:30 PM with Pastor Loren Marshall, officiating. Interment will be held at Edgewood Cemetery in Saltsburg, PA.
