Lewis J. Flickinger (Dork), 95, of Apollo, Pa. (Washington Twp.) passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2024, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on Monday, July 16, 1928, in Flatrock, Avonmore, Pa., the son of the late Raymond David and Charlotte Marie Platt Flickinger. Before his retirement, he worked as a carpenter for Union Local #333. He built and was a founding member of the Burning Well Camp. He also was a member of the Kiski Camp in Potter County and a member of the Apollo/Spring Church Sportsmen Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, mowing grass and took great pride in caring for his home. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his children; Nancy Blazavich and her husband, Ron of Indiana, Judy Faye Cambal of Apollo, Michael Flickinger and his wife Pam of Spring Church, Lisa Flickinger and her wife, Jennifer Synuria of Kitty Hawk, NC and Mark Flickinger and his wife, Peggy of Clarion, 12 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 8 great-great grandchildren and his sister; Constance Marie Miller of Spring Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his wife; Patricia Faye Duckworth Flickinger, his brothers, Earl, Wayne, William and Owen Flickinger and his sisters; Mary Lucille Anderson, Vera Jean Sloan and Esther Elwood. Family will receive friends on Sunday, January 28, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Corridoni Funeral Services, Inc., 400 Indiana Ave., Avonmore, Pa. Additional viewing will take place at Community Church of Pine Run, EMC, 190 Pine Run Church Rd., Apollo, Pa. on Monday, January 29, 2024, from 10:00 AM until time of services at 11:00 AM with Reverend Dr. Joshua C. Strunk and Chaplain Donald Scandrol, officiating. The interment will take place at Pine Church Cemetery, Apollo, Pa. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Vita's Hospice or Community Church of Pine Run.
