Leland Henry “Wimp” Blystone 82, of Apollo, PA, passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital, Kittanning, PA. He was born Saturday, November 2, 1940, in Spring Church, PA, the son of the late Henry L and Olive Chambers Blystone. Before his retirement, he was employed for over 26 years by White’s Excavating as a truck driver. Leland enjoyed hunting, camping, tinkering in his garage and spending time with his dog, Honey. He is a member of the Apollo Spring Church Sportsmen Club and will always be remembered for his great sense of humor that started very early in life because he was noted as the class clown. He was a member of the Boiling Springs Presbyterian Church. He is survived by two children, Tim Blystone and his wife, Gretchen, of Apollo, and Michelle Weaver and Scott of Apollo. Five grandchildren, Courtney Nunamaker and husband, Mitch, of Clarksburg, Kiersten Spires and her husband, Matt, of Apollo, Cody Brown of Apollo, Christopher Loughrey and his wife, Maura, of Spring Church and Leland M Blystone of Apollo and 8 great grandchildren, Kiara Moravec, Emma Nunamaker, Lilly Nunamaker, Caleb Nunamaker, Wyatt Loughrey, Nolan Spires, Kentleigh Brown and Layla Brown. He is also survived by an ex-daughter-in-law Ruth Moravec of Avonmore. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Carolyn J Kepple Blystone and his siblings Lorraine Crusan, Ruth Clark and Wylie Blystone. At his request, all arrangements are private.
