Larry "Bud" Eugene Matson Jr.

Larry “Bud” Eugene Matson Jr., 56, of Slickville, Pa. passed away on Saturday, October 11, 2025, after injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. He was born on Wednesday, July 2, 1969, the son of Larry E. Sr. and Cynthia A. Merich Matson. He was self-employed and owned Matson’s Construction, in Emmaus, Pa.  He graduated from Saltsburg Jr. Sr. High School in 1987. Larry was a down-to-earth person who enjoyed riding his motorcycle, tinkering in his garage and socializing with friends. He is survived by his parents, Larry and Cynthia Matson Sr., his children, Landon Matson of New Tripoli, Pa and Eric Matson of Arizona, his brother, Brian Matson and his wife, Angela of Mamont, his sisters, Danene MacDonald and her husband, Harry of Jeannette, Carole Lynn Byrd of Slickville, his step brothers, John Shicola of Ligonier, Joseph Shicola and his biological mother, Delores Carole Rowe Shicola. All funeral arrangements are private.
