Larry Eugene McCorkle

Larry Eugene McCorkle, 78, of North Apollo, Pa., passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at the Butler VA Healthcare in Butler, Pa. He was born on Friday, March 30, 1945, in McKeesport, Pa. the son of the late Eugene and Elsie Nelson McCorkle. Before his retirement, he was a Millwright for AK Steel in Butler, Pa. He was a United States Marine receiving the rank of a Sargeant and received the following medals; Combat Action Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal and the Sharpshooter Rifle Badge. He was a member of the VFW. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and spending time with his family. He is survived by his children; William E. McCorkle and his wife, Kristalyn, of North Apollo and Lori Boyd and her husband, Jason, of North Apollo, 3 grandchildren; Melina McCorkle, Ethan Boyd and Rylee Boyd and his ex-wife, Lois McCorkle. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Richard McCorkle and a sister; Barbara McCorkle. Family will receive friends at the Kelly L. Corridoni Funeral Home, 1916 Moore Ave., North Apollo, Pa. on Thursday, June 22, 2023 from 4:00 PM until time of services at 6:00 PM. Pastor Brandon Robertson will officiate.
