Judith Fay (Akins) Hesketh

Judith Fay Akins Hesketh, 83, of Apollo, Pa. passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born Thursday, April 6, 1939 in Apollo, Pa. the daughter of the late Mervin and Esther Lucille Lockard Akins.  She was a member of the North Apollo Church of God. She loved working in her flower gardens, having tea with her sisters every Wednesday and was known as the candy lady. Most of all she loved the time she spent with her family. She is survived by her children; Cindy Lou King and her husband Elden “Leroy”, of Avonmore and Sandra Lee Walker of Charlotte, NC, 4 grandchildren; Clayton King of Avonmore, Kayla McAndrew and her husband, Ryan, of Avonmore, Casey Walker and  his wife, Lino, of Glen Burnie, MD and Cody Walker of Baltimore, MD, known as "GiGi" to her 4 great grandchildren; Josalin, Colten, Sora, and Nami, her sisters; Carol Cochran and her husband, Tom, of Vandergrift, Patricia Musick and her husband, Bob, of North Apollo, Donna Casella and her husband, Ed, of Apollo and Diane Filippini and her husband, Mike, of Avonmore and her brothers; Dave Akins of Clarion and Randy Akins and his wife, Kim, of Apollo. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Jack C. Hesketh, her son; Duane C. Hesketh, a  sister; Joyce Burns and a brother; Mervin “Ace” Akins. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Kelly L. Corridoni Funeral Home LTD, 1916 Moore Ave., North Apollo, Pa. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at 11:00 AM, Pastor Robert Shallenberger, officiating. Interment will follow at Riverview Cemetery, Apollo, Pa.
