Juanita Mae Shaffer

Juanita Mae Shaffer, 69, of Oakmont, Pa., passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2023 at UPMC Magee Women’s Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pa. She was born on Thursday, February 19, 1953 in Washington, Pa. the daughter of the Ira W. and Marzella L. Reese Shaffer. She enjoyed playing pool, the guitar and loved spending time with her nieces and nephews.  She referred affectionately to herself as a “hippie”. She is survived by her parents, her brothers; Jack Shaffer and his fiancé, Ardale Stone of Penn Hills and J.R. Shaffer and his wife, Linda, of Washington Twp., her nieces; Dana Knox and her husband, Alvin of North Huntingdon and Noella Shaffer of Washington Twp. and her nephews; Nick Camerota (Shannon Buncher) of Penn Hills and Jonathan Shaffer of Washington Twp. and by a very large extended family.  She was preceded in death by her brother; Edward Shaffer. All funeral arrangements are private. Internment will take place at Fairview Cemetery in Spring Church, Pa.
