Joseph Eugene McManis Jr.

Joseph Eugene McManis Jr, 71, of Myrtle Beach, SC, formerly of Saltsburg, passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2022 at Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital in Greensburg, Pa. He was born on Monday, January 29, 1951 in Waynesburg, Pa. the son of the late Joseph E. Sr. and Julia A. Amandola  McManis.  Before his retirement, he was a coal miner for Nemacolin Mine (Parkwood Resources) and was part of a mine rescue team for over 18 years. He was a wrestling and football coach for Saltsburg for 8 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and socializing but most of all he loved his family and they were always first in his life.  He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Lynda A. Hughes McManis, his children, Joseph E. McManis III and his wife, Terri, of Murrysville, Jason E. McManis and his wife, Candice, of Saltsburg, Jeffrey McManis and his wife, Melissa, of Saltsburg and Jacob McManis and his fiancé, Galaxcy, of Myrtle Beach, SC and 7 grandchildren, Megan, Evan, Kaitlyn, Haylee, Austin, Conner and Jaxon. He was preceded in death by his parents. Family will receive friends on Saturday, June 18, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 3:00PM at the Kelly L. Corridoni Funeral Home LTD, 400 Indiana Ave., Avonmore, Pa. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at 3:00PM with Pastor Lee Rupert, officiating. Interment will be held at Greene County Memorial Park in Waynesburg, Pa.
