John Stephen Sentipal, 84, of Pitcairn, entered eternal rest on the morning of April 6th, 2025. Born to John and Lillian Sentipal in Braddock, Pa on January 27th, 1941, John “Mad Jack” was an avid outdoorsman his entire life. After high school, John entered the Air Force in 1960 where he was stationed in Japan and Korea until his honorable discharge in 1964. After his service, he worked as a machinist with Westinghouse until his retirement, but machining was a means to an end – Mad Jack’s true passion was the outdoors, hunting, fishing, trapping, camping, hiking, boating and geocaching. Jack enjoyed it all and enjoyed sharing that passion with others. More than a few generations of successful hunters were mentored and trained by Jack. While Jack never married nor had children, he was able to pass on his knowledge and love for the outdoors to countless young hunters. The writer of this obituary is one of those young men who learned how to hunt, how to enjoy, and how to respect GOD’s perfect creation. John is preceded in death by parents John and Lilian Sentipal, his brother Bill Sentipal of Texas, and his sister Nancy Louden of New York. He is survived by his sister Eileen de Doelder of Las Vegas and several nieces and nephews in California. At John’s request, all funeral arrangement are private.
