James Dwight Libengood, 81, of Saltsburg passed away Friday, August 19, 2022, at Forbes Regional Hospital in Monroeville. He was born Friday, December 13, 1940 in Truxal, PA, the son of the late Samuel and Olive Elwood Libengood. Before his retirement, he worked as a coal miner at the Jane Mine in Shelocta, he then transferred to the cleaning plant. He loved hunting, fishing, gardening, but his true passion was following his grandchildren in all of their sports endeavors. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Bernadette Ann Nagg Woodring Libengood, 4 children Duane Albert of New Kensington, Jeannie Emerson and her husband, Ken, of Alabama, J.D. “Jim” Libengood and his wife, Sherry, of Rural Valley and Lonny Woodring and his wife, Jennifer, of Saltsburg, 11 grandchildren and three great grandchildren and his sister Dolly Rugh of Blairsville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Ralph, Sam and Charles and a sister Olive “Babe” Rugh. At Jim’s request, all arrangements are private.
