James Michael Kelly, 94 of Avonmore, Pa. passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at UPMC Mercy in Pittsburgh, Pa. He was born on Wednesday, October 30, 1929 in Saltsburg, Pa., the son of the late Joseph B. and Esther Bell Helgert Kelly. He was a United States Army Veteran of 30 years, having served in the Vietnam War and also was stationed in Germany, Turkey, France and Libya. He was a past President of the Saltsburg Borough Council. Managed the Saltsburg Shop n Save in Saltsburg for 14 years. He loved to travel but most of all loved the time he spent with his family. He is survived by his wife of 10 years, Olive Mae Linnert Kelly, his children, Michael Kelly and his wife, Christine of Singapore, Arthur Kelly and his wife, Bonnie of Tulsa, OK, Teresa McKnight and her husband, Robert of New Alexandria, Janice L. Delfenbaugh and her husband, Larrry of DuBois and David Kelly and his wife, Tami of Saltsburg, 14 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren and 3 great great great grandchildren, his brothers, Tom Kelly and his wife, Sue of Georgia, Jerry Kelly and his wife Darlene of Greensburg, his sisters, Anna Ruth Minto of North Huntington, Irene Bell and her husband, Tom of Delmont, Janet Irwin and her husband, Bill of Saltsburg and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Lois Arlene Akins Kelly, a child in infancy, Terry Allen Kelly, a daughter, Carol Sue St. John, his brothers, Charles, John, Bob, Don and Dick Kelly and his sisters, Arlene Winberly, Barbara Jean Harkelroad and Kathy Gelmi. Family will receive friends on Sunday, January 7, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Corridoni Funeral Services, Inc., 400 Indiana Ave., Avonmore, Pa. Funerals Services will be held in the funeral home on Monday, January 8, 2024 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Paul Eckenrode, officiating. Internment will be held at Edgewood Cemetery.
