James Raymond Hamilton

James Raymond “Pap” Hamilton, 79, of Avonmore, Pa. passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2024 at Excela Westmoreland Hospital in Greensburg, Pa. He was born on Tuesday, May 22, 1945 in Parks Township, Pa, the son of the late James F. and Florence L. Rimmel Hamilton. Before his retirement, he worked 30 years as a millwright for Allegheny Ludlum. He enjoyed hunting, woodworking, playing cards, bowling; he once bowled a 300 game, which he was very proud of, watching television, especially sports (basketball, football and baseball), and reading epic westerns. He is survived by his wife of 58 years,  Beverly M. Quick Hamilton, his daughters; Arlene Hamilton (Mark) of Oakmont, Mia G. Kaufman and her husband, Doug of Bell Point, and Cynthia (Cindy) L. McCullough and her husband, John of Bell Twp., 5 grandchildren; Joseph Garzone of Avonmore, Anthony Garzone and his wife, Shaily of Mamont, Benjamin McCullough of Pittsburgh, Nicholas McCullough, of Pittsburgh and Audrey DeMann (Kevin) of Napa, Ca., 2 great grandchildren; Mario and Joviana Garzone, his sister; Mary M. Ignaczaik of Annapolis, Md. and a brother; William P. Hamilton and his wife Debbie of Connecticut. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Colleen Dray (Paul Dray), and her Companion Nicholas, his sisters, Judith Hamilton and Lori L. Hamilton at birth. A private viewing was held on Wednesday, July 30, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Corridoni Funeral Services, Inc., 400 Indiana Ave., Avonmore, Pa. 15618. The internment will take place at Twin Valley Memorial Park in Delmont, Pa.
