James Edward Briggs III 47, of Greensburg passed away on Tuesday May 4, 2021 at his home. He was born on Sunday July 29, 1973 in Jeannette, Pennsylvania the son of the late James Edward Briggs Jr. and Cheryl Lynn Bruggeman Briggs of Greensburg. James was a maintenance Technician in the housing industry. He enjoyed building and playing guitars, and he loved to sing. He loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman and hunter. He will always be remembered for his “Heart of Gold”, kindness, generosity and forgiving nature. He was a gentle and sweet person to those who knew him and will be greatly missed by all. In addition to his Mother, he is survived by his daughter, Ali Briggs of Hannastown, a grandson Brayden, his step-daughter, Cecelia Bruce, his step-grandson, Hayden Smartnick, his sisters; Rachel Townsend and Heather Briggs of Greensburg, his partner of almost 30 years Beth Briggs of Youngwood, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his Father he was preceded in death by his sister Michelle Briggs. At the family’s request, all arrangements are private.
