Ida Jean (Cantola) Dixon

Ida Jean Cantola Dixon, 92, of North Apollo, Pa., passed away on Monday, October 11, 2021 at Allegheny Valley Hospital in Natrona Heights, Pa. She was born on Wednesday, May 29, 1929 in White Station, Pa., the daughter of the late Pasquale and Ida Collelo Cantola. Before her retirement, she worked for West Penn Hat & Cap. She enjoyed doing crafts and taking care of her nieces and nephews. She was a big Pittsburgh sports fan but especially loved the Penguins. Ida was famous for her pizzelles and her recipe. She  always put others first in her life. She is survived by her children, Lori Dixon of North Apollo, Pa. Tim Dixon of North Apollo, Pa. and Terry Dixon of North Apollo, Pa. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Dominic, William, Nick, Albert and Patsy Cantola and her sisters, Viola Sciotti and Rose Bowman. Family will receive friends on Thursday, October 14, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM in the Kelly L. Corridoni Funeral Home LTD, 1916 Moore Ave., North Apollo, Pa. Services will held in the funeral home on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Lee Rupert, officiating. Interment will follow at Westview  Cemetery in Avonmore, Pa.
