Helen Shirley (Phillips) McCart

Helen Shirley Phillips McCart, 86, of Springdale, Pa. formerly of Sigel , passed away on Sunday, November 14, 2021 at West Haven Nursing Home in Apollo, Pa. She was born on Friday, February 22, 1935 in Springdale, Pa. the daughter of John S. and Ruth N. Bowser Phillips. She enjoyed socializing and loved Johnny Mathis which she saw in concert over 50 times. Helen took much pride in her appearance. She is survived by her children, LuAnn Oke of Punta Gorda, Fl., Jim McCart of Ludlow, Pa. and Cindy Sanders and her husband, Terry of St. Louis, Mo., her sisters, Margaret “Peg” Rae of Spring Church, Janet Verner of Cheswick and Kathleen “Jean” Bowser of Springdale and her brother, John Phillips and his wife, Patricia, of North Apollo. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her children, Cathy Retzloff and John “Buster” McCart and her brother, Daniel Phillips. All funeral arrangements were private.
