Helen Emeline (Smith) Johnson

Helen Emeline Smith Johnson, 79, of Apollo, Pa. passed away on Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at Forbes Hospital in Monroeville, Pa.  She was born Sunday, August 1, 1943 in Bell Township, Pa., the daughter of the late Stanley and Edna C. Eckenrod Smith. Before her retirement, she worked as a CNA for West Haven Nursing Home. She enjoyed playing bingo, animated toys and was an excellent cook. She loved family get togethers and “Betty Boop”. She is survived by her children; Emmett Curly Johnson Jr. of Apollo, Loretta A. Kimmel and her husband, George, of Spring Church, Michael Johnson (Valerie Minor) of Spring Church and Tammy L. Brown and her husband, Willie, of Apollo, 18 grandchildren, 17 great children and her brother; Harry Smith of Kittanning. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Emmett Curly Johnson Sr., a granddaughter, Brianna Marie Kimmel and a great grandson, her brothers; John, Tip, Bobby and Franklin Smith and a sister; Clara McMunn. All funeral arrangements are private.
