Glenna Yvonne (Weister) Emanuel

Glenna Yvonne Weister Emanuel, 88, of Salina, Pa. (Bell Twp.) passed away on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at Newhaven Court at Lindwood, Greensburg, Pa. She was born on Tuesday, October 3, 1937, in Salina, Pa. the daughter of the late Leonard L. and Fern L. Gerheim Weister. She was a graduate of Bell Township High School in 1955 and graduated from Westminster College in 1959.  Before her retirement, she first taught at New Kensington-Arnold School District for 5 years and then taught for 28 years at Kiski Area School District, as a first-grade teacher. She was a member of the Salina Bible Church where she taught Sunday School for 40 years. Glenna was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma and the Order of the Eastern Star-Apollo #125. She enjoyed baking, cooking, going to flea markets and loved flowers. Her greatest joy was her grandsons. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Fred E. Emanuel of Salina, her children, Tawni Marie Paunovich and her husband,  Richard Watson of Sarver and Todd Eric Emanuel and his wife, Lori of Washington Twp., her grandsons, Thad and Tyler Paunovich, her brother, Leonard “Butch” Weister and his wife, Patti of Heber City, Utah, her brother-in-law, Roy Shaffer of Johnstown and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Freya Shaffer. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Corridoni Funeral Services, Inc., 400 Indiana Ave., Avonmore, Pa. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at11:00 AM at Salina Bible Church, 4132 PA-819, Avonmore, Pa. 15618 with Pastor Paul Reiner, officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Glenna’s memory to Salina Bible Church.
