Gerald “Jerry” Ament, 74 of Mt. Pleasant, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, June 4, 2024. He was born on Monday December 5, 1949, in Latrobe, the son of the late Dean and Lois (Trice) Ament. Jerry worked and retired from Pepsi Co. after 42 years. He was the proud owner of Jerry’s Belt and Buckle Shop. In addition to his parents, he is proceeded in death by his late wife Deborah (Henschel) Ament and sister, Shirley Siko. Jerry is survived by his wife Lillian Ament, his brother Harry Ament, daughters Jessica Steindl and husband James, Rebecca Slater and husband Steve, grandchildren Matt and wife Abby, Ashley, Michael and Morgan, great grandson Eli, stepdaughters Jodie Margita and husband Steve, Jessica Stas and husband Don, Christine Faust and husband Rick, grandchildren Mary, Matt, Dan, Grace, Morgan, Claire, Anna and Joey. He will also be missed by his fur-baby Gracie. Jerry enjoyed spending time with his wife Lillian and dog Gracie, camping and traveling to the Amish country and making friends along the way. He was loved by all and will be sadly missed. Although there is no formal viewing, please feel free to share a memory or condolences with the family.
