George Kuzmin Jr.

George Kuzmin, Jr, 85, of Slickville, PA passed away Thursday, May 27, 2021, at Westmoreland Manor in Greensburg, PA.  He was born Sunday, June 23, 1935, the son of George and Mary Hordi Kuzmin, Sr in Slickville, PA.  He was a United State Navy Veteran.  George was a hard worker, loved cutting grass, (did not stop until he was 82 years old, and had accumulated 40 customers), gardening and his grandchildren. George was a member of the Slickville Presbyterian Church, Slickville Sportsmen’s Club, Lions Club, PNA #1234, Avonmore, and Post 57 American Legion, Saltsburg.  Before his retirement, he worked in construction and coal mining for over 35 years with Adam Eidemiller Construction in Greensburg.  He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Janet Ann Hullenbaugh Kuzmin, 4 daughters, Patti Barber and her husband, Alan, of Greensburg, Georgia Allwine and her husband, Randy, of Greensburg, Brenda Borbonus and her husband, William, of Youngwood and Carol Bollen and her husband, Dre, of Delmont, 2 brothers, Joe Kuzmin of Slickville and John Kuzmin and his wife, Janice, of Slickville; 7 grandchildren, Michael, Matthew, Randy, Amber, Shelby, Richard and Brittaniann and 7 great grandchildren, Victoria, Kaylee, Brielle, Maverick, Kinsley, Sirena and Vincent.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Mike and Andy Kuzmin, and 4 sisters, Katherine Walczyk, Ann Fatur, Margaret Conley, and Mary Kuzmin.  Family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 1, 2021, from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM in the Kelly L. Corridoni Funeral Home, LTD, 400 Indiana Avenue, Avonmore, PA.  Services will be conducted in the funeral home on Wednesday, June 2, 2021, at 11:00 AM with Reverend Thomas Holmes officiating.  Interment will follow and be private at Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont, PA.  MASKS ARE MANDATORY AND SOCIAL DISTANCING WILL BE OBSERVED.  The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to Heartland Hospice and Westmoreland Manor for their professional and compassionate care of George.
