George Edward Anestis, 82, of Apollo, Pa. passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at his home. He was born on Saturday, June 28, 1941, in Carnegie, Pa., the son of the late George and Margaret V. Aspinall Anestis. Before his retirement, he was a Telecom Analyst for Compact for 22 years. He was a Ham Radio Operator since he was 12 years old (Call sign W3ANX). Computers and Ham Radios were his life. He enjoyed riding his bicycle on the trails, photography and loved his cats. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Alexandria “Sandy” Anestis (they were married in the Chapel of Fountains in Las Vegas), his daughter, Christine Adamson and her husband, Doug of Wilmington, DE., his grandchildren, Colin and Alexander and his brothers, Thomas Anestis and his wife, Linda of Canonsburg, Pa. and Robert Anestis and his wife, Jan of Connecticut.
