Gary Wayne Deems

Gary Wayne Deems, 69, of Apollo, Pa., passed away on Friday, August 20, 2021, at his home. He was born on Tuesday, April 15, 1952 in Homestead, Pa., the son of Grace Biery Deems and the late Jack Deems. He loved to drive cars and trucks, cutting grass and working. He was a very caring person who would always do things for others. He liked music and frequently shopped at  Friend’s Thrift Shop to buy CD’s. He loved his dogs, Blue and Tessa but mostly loved to spend time with his family and his lifelong friends, Frank and Linda Russitano. He is survived by his mother, Grace Biery Deems, his sisters, Beverly Mochan and her husband, John, of Apollo, Janet Kunkle and her husband, Daniel of Apollo and a brother, Jay Deems and his fiancé , Diana Schiffler of Minnesota, his nieces and nephews, William and Brian Sheret, Jacob Deems, Stephanie Yoder, Holly Kunkle and Sarah Marinclin, sister in law, Janet Deems and his caregivers from Global Home Health, Shirley, Dolane and Penny who gave Gary excellent care.  Memorial contributions can be made to Friends Thrift Store in Export who continually gives back to the community.   All funeral arrangement were private and entrusted to the Kelly L. Corridoni Funeral Home LTD, 1916 Moore Ave., North Apollo, Pa.
