Emma Jean (Beacon) Carr

Emma Jean Beacon Carr, 81, of Moween, Pa., passed away on Friday, April 14, 2023 at the Communities of Indian Haven in Indiana, Pa. She was born on Thursday, September 4, 1941 in Greensburg, Pa. the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Garris Beacon. Before her retirement, she worked in housekeeping for the Kiski School for over 30 years. She enjoyed cooking, baking, watching soap operas and westerns on TV but most of all she loved spending time with her family. She is survived by her children; Sondra Carr (Wayne Porter) of Moween, Michele Andree (Marty Fennell) of Moween, David Carr of Moween, 9 grandchildren; Joseph Hays of Moween, Jason Hays of Moween, Nicholas Porter of Moween, Caitlyn Porter of Moween, April  Sage (Dustin) of Clarksburg, Amber Vazquez (Misael) of Saltsburg, William Andree Jr (Marti) of New Florence, Kristan McGinnis (Matt) of Blairsville and Joshua Carr (Chelsea) of Saltsburg, 13 great grandchildren, her daughter-in-law; Vickie Carr of Blairsville, her brother-in-law; Glenn Carr and his wife, Mary, of Moween and a brother; “Rowboat”. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; Franklin David Carr and a son; Daniel Carr. Family will receive friends on Sunday, April 16, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM in the Kelly L. Corridoni Funeral Home LTD, 400 Indiana Ave., Avonmore, Pa. Funeral Services will be held in the funeral home on Monday, April 17, 2023 at 10:00 AM with Pastor Lee Rupert, officiating. Interment will be held at Edgewood Cemetery in Saltsburg, Pa.
