Ellen Jane (Coleman) Kness

Ellen Jane Coleman Kness, 89, of Cabot, Pa, formerly of Kiski Twp., passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at Concordia Lutheran Ministries, under the care of Good Samaritan Hospice. She was born on Saturday, July 9, 1932 in South Bend Twp., the daughter of the late Roy and Georgiana Turner Coleman. Before her retirement, she was a Bookkeeper for US Steel and the Tax Collector for Kiski Twp. She attended the First Presbyterian Church of Apollo. Jane enjoyed playing cards and taking bus trips with her husband. She was a devoted wife and mother and most loved being with her family. She is survived her siblings; Ruth Ann Shaffer of Mars, Donald G. Coleman and his wife, Joyce, of Kittanning and a brother in law; Ed Bortz of Kiski Twp. and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 53 years; Russell D. “Boots” Kness and her beloved son, Christopher Lee Kness, her sister; Martha Coleman Bortz and her brother; Tom Coleman and his wife, Janice. Family will receive friends on Thursday, March 24, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Kelly L. Corridoni Funeral Home LTD, 1916 Moore Ave., North Apollo. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, March 25, 2022  at the Apollo United Presbyterian Church, 401 1st Street, Apollo, Pa. at 11 AM with Reverend Lea Austin and Messenger Ralph Kilgore Jr., officiating. Interment will be held at Riverview Cemetery in Apollo, Pa.
