Obituary
Elizabeth “Betty” Joyce Pisano Matlack, 81, of Tinsmill, passed away on Friday, April 21, 2023, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on Thursday, June 26, 1941, in Pittsburgh, PA, the daughter of the late Ettore and Gladys Daugherty Pisano. Betty was a homemaker, an avid Steeler fan, loved to cook and bake for her family, enjoyed Doo-wop music, and especially idolized her grandchildren. She is survived by two children, Joe Matlack of Saltsburg and Cissy Elizabeth Bassett and her husband, John, of Avonmore, two grandchildren, Brendan Hauser (Heather) of Pittsburgh, and Kimberly Bassett of Avonmore. Two sisters, Bonnie Stramat and her husband, Charlie, of Uniontown, Jacque Pisano of Virginia, a brother, Ed Pisano and his wife, Inge, of Virginia and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Bryan Matlack, a brother, Ronald Pisano and two sisters, Georgia Burkholder and Donna Pardee. At her request, all services were private entombment will be held Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at Greenwood Memorial Park, in Lower Burrell.
